Directions for the Blog Assignment
Blogger is associated with Google drive productivity tools. (1) You will need a Gmail account (you cannot use your WilmU email) to create a blog account with the application, Blogger. (You may use the Gmail account you created in EDT6005.
The criteria for the Blog are
- Learn how to Get Started with Blogger
- Learn how to Design a Blog page.
- Create a Blogger account and Design the Blog website.
- Share your URL (the name of your Blog site) with others in the course by posting the Blog URL to the Discussion Board Forum.
- Blog Design: The typical interface of a blog has these basic components: (1) an area for posts, (2) an area that show post archives, (3) area for commenting, and (4) an RSS feed.
The criteria for the Blog are
- Interface Design components for the Blog
- Title
- Area for Posts
- Area for Blog Archives
- Navbar (configuration allows you to automatically add social media outlets),
- Gadgets (interactive and engagement components of the blog),
- RSS feed
- Other important gadgets that enhance the blog and promote interactivity and engagement
- Aesthetics: Choose colors, fonts, graphics, and multimedia that are appropriate and easy to read.
- The grading criteria for the SEA will focus on technology fluency, collaboration, ability to communicate relevant information and ideas, the effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources. See the rubric in Blackboard
- Hypertext links: There should be at least two hypertext links to educational materials and resources. These links must be active and linked appropriately.
- Media on the Blog: There should be one multimedia source on the blog. Use various media like audio, video, text, images and links to relevant material. It is very easy to plagiarize ~ however, take care, write down all the references, using APA format. Scholarly work is very important and all the instructors are interested in you succeeding. You must have one page of your blog dedicated to references only.
